The Big Bang Theory is a television series that was broadcast on CBS from September 24, 2007, to May 16, 2019. The cast features Johnny Galecki in the role of Leonard Hofstadter, Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper, Kaley Cuoco portraying Penny, Simon Helberg as Howard Wolowitz, Kunal Nayyar as Rajesh Koothrappali, Sara Gilbert as Leslie Winkle, Mayim Bialik as Amy Farrah Fowler, Melissa Rauch as Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz, Kevin Sussman as Stuart Bloom, and Laura Spencer as Emily Sweeney.
The series was developed by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, with direction by Mark Cendrowski.
